20 states, 90 days, 10,000 kilometers — this audacious tour plan involves two determined riders and a truck-loaded with more than 4,0000 books. Read More India is a book tour to promote reading and spread the love of books all across the country where you can read for free or buy books at a 20 per cent discount.

This book tour gives people from all sections of the society a chance to explore the world of books, free of cost, as well as to inspire and encourage people everywhere to read more books and to spread the love of books far and wide.

As the country is inclined towards the internet now a days, reading an actual book remains a luxury limited to a hand full of people. And as bookstores are becoming the dying breed, the Read More India tour is an example of not just how a new generation of entrepreneurs is building hope for the future, but also how the pleasures of reading can be brought to more people by taking the stories to them.

This India trotting literary truck was in Jaipur on this weekend and we think it is a commendable initiative. The collection ranges from fairy tales to the latest bestseller by Jeffrey Archer. They stop at different locations in the city and hold public book displays where people come to browse through the books, and read for as long as you wish. You can even buy the books. Next they are headed up north, towards Delhi, and will stay put for the 9th and 10th of February.
