India’s fastest train: Gatimaan Express, flagged off!
India’s first semi-high speed train, capable of running at a speed of 160 km per hour, was flagged off on April 5th by the Railway Minister. Gatimaan Express will run between Hazrat Nizammuddin and Agra Cantonment. The state-of-the-art train will take one hour and forty minutes to complete the journey and will operate 6 days a week except on Friday. Nizamuddin-Agra Gatimaan Express, the country’s first semi-high speed train, seems to have created a buzz among travelers. Passengers of Gatimaan Express will not only be ushered to their seats by train hostesses, but will also be given free access to multimedia content.
Gatimaan Express will leave Nizamuddin railway station at 8:10 am and reach Agra Cantt. at 9:50 am. The train will depart from Agra the same evening at 5:50 pm to reach Nizamuddin at 7:30 pm.
